On Wednesday, March 3, 2025, 48 senior students attended an in-person Stop the Bleed training & Compress CPR training, facilitated by Compress CPR.
This was a milestone event for GDA, as many digital students came to campus in person for the first time since enrollment. For many of the students attending it was one of the their few remaining requirements for graduation. The day was made special through the collaboration of the graduation counselor, counselors, school social worker, school psychologist, intervention specialist, teachers, and community organizations.
BloomStat Foundation contributed to the celebration by providing each senior with a set of jacks in their gift bags, which also included snacks, mental health resources, and graduation swag. Additionally, all attending students were entered into a raffle for a $50 Walmart gift card.
The event was a tremendous success, equipping students with lifesaving skills while fostering a sense of community and celebration.
