How BloomStat Was Founded

Everyone has the power to find strength in their creativity, cultural backgrounds, and connections with older generations. These qualities can help us heal and grow stronger. However, today, many young people spend more time on technology than with their elders and other face-to-face connections. We want to change this. By encouraging kids to explore their creativity and culture and by connecting them with the wisdom of our elders, we aim to foster healing, personal growth, and a sense of community.

Starting with a small team of dedicated individuals, BloomStat seeks to bring together schools, senior living homes, and community centers to create programs that encourage self-care, artistic expression, and the sharing of wisdom between generations.

The Name ‘BloomStat’ symbolizes the foundation’s mission: to help individuals bloom—grow, heal, and thrive—no matter the adversity they face. We are committed to ensuring that young people rise above the challenges they face, refusing to let them become a “statistic” (the “stat” in BloomStat), speaking to the urgency of our mission and emphasizing the importance of action and support for those in need.

From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Community

We plan to grow BloomStat from a single idea into a vibrant community of volunteers, partners, and supporters. Our programs will connect schools and senior living homes, offer art and writing workshops, teach the importance of self-care in at-risk communities, and provide workshops promoting family bonding. But this is just the beginning. Our journey continues, and we are dedicated to expanding our reach and helping even more people discover their strength through resilience.
